After cleaning up the country's most unhealthy town of Huntington, West Virginia last season, Jamie Oliver is back for round two tonight and setting his sights on the public school lunches of the infamously bureaucratic nightmare that is Los Angeles. Unsurprisingly, the slop providers for the L.A. school district get him kicked out of the schools and he is forced to take his act to some fast food restaurants for the majority of the season. Just like a real drop-out!
So it looks like this season won't be quite the triumph that last season was, but he means well, and he has something worthwhile to say, so I'll always root for Jamie and this show. Does it matter that we already know that cheeseburgers are unhealthy? It didn't matter last season, and it shouldn't matter now. Throw the guy a bone and watch this thing, preferably not while eating McDonald's. That can wait until Dancing With the Stars at 9.
Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution premieres at 8 PM on ABC tonight, opposite The Biggest Loser (obesity wars war!) (NBC) and NCIS (CBS).
