But, clearly this thing will end on a cliffhanger, and since this show is canceled we'll never find out who won this battle of the idiots in the end. So farewell, The Event. I'll miss your screwed-up timelines, your nonsensical writing, your characters that change on a dime, your dropped plot points and characters, and even those rare instances when you were awesome, like that time you sucked a building into a vortex. I will not, however, miss Jason Ritter's facial hair. Hopefully, that got canceled too.

The Event airs on NBC tonight at 9 PM, opposite the premiere of The Bachelorette (ABC), the series finale of The Chicago Code (Fox) and The Real Housewives of New Jersey (Bravo).
