The show has been uprooted from Cardiff and is now set in America. The Torchwood employees are investigating the fact that no one in the world is dying (hence the "miracle day" title of this 10-episode arc). They've picked up some new employees, in the forms of Mekhi Phifer, Bill Pullman and Lauren Ambrose. I'm quite curious to see how this will all play out and if Capt. Jack (John Barrowman) and Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) will adapt to having new cohorts.

The series premieres tonight on Starz at 10 PM. It's really either that or Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids on TLC. (Not that it isn't a perfectly valid choice as well, just maybe not as emotionally or mentally challenging.)
