Hasn't it felt like Kate Gosselin has been off the air for years? Maybe it's because my faithful DVR lets me watch TLC without the commercials. Or because after her Dancing with the Stars stint, the public was finally finished mocking her. Whatever the reason, it just feels passé to make fun of Ms. Gosselin these days -- especially considering that as of tonight, she is officially no longer a reality star.
Okay, obviously she'll always infamously be the woman with all the kids who once had that terrible haircut/husband, but after this evening, she will no longer have her own reality show. Kate says she's "freaking out" about the idea of not having cameras rolling and TLC paychecks coming in, but something tells me she'll fare far better than your average mother of eight children. Just a guess.
The series finale of Kate Plus 8 is on TLC tonight at 9 PM, opposite the second season finale of Bachelor Pad on ABC and the 2011 Miss Universe Pageant on NBC. I'd recommend watching whatever offends you the least.

I occassionally get market research type requests from Discovery, who owns TLC, and recently completed a survey about various reality show proposals for Kate and her family. So I don't think we are as done with her as we think.
@ Lucy:
I certainly hope you said, "DON'T YOU DARE GIVE THAT WOMAN ANYTHING!! GET HER OFF MY TV!!"
Nevertheless, Johnson and colleagues conducted two independent pilot studies that supported the validity of their word fragment approach
