Pineapples, mysteries, and... guest stars like Malcolm McDowell, William Shatner and Joey McIntyre? Oh my!
Per usual, season 6 of Psych isn't light on guest stars or themed episodes. Expect episodes centering around vampires, Indiana Jones, The Shining, superheroes and Clue (among 50 billion others, probably). With Kristy Swanson, Mekhi Phifer, Molly Ringwald, Pitbull, Danny Glover, and maybe even Tim Curry among the 40 confirmed guest stars, it's a surprise Shawn and Gus will have any airtime this season. (Although someone's gotta use those psychic abilities to solve crimes, or we wouldn't even have a show here.)
The first guest star, Malcolm McDowell, pops up in the season 6 premiere as a British diplomat that hires the duo to investigate after a body has been found in his home. The Santa Barbara Police Department, meanwhile, begins to doubt Shawn is actually psychic. Is he psychic? Is he a phony, since the chances of being psychic are pretty slim anyway? Is the show lying to viewers, making them believe Shawn is psychic when he isn't? Or is it just part of the plot? And, perhaps most importantly, did you spot the pineapple in this episode?
Season 6 of Psych premieres tonight at 10 PM on USA.

"Is the show lying to viewers, making them believe Shawn is psychic when he isn't? Or is it just part of the plot?"
I'm going to be a total nerd here and point out that the show's premise is that Shawn's a fake psychic.
Um... no, the show isn't lying to the viewers, seeing a we already know he's not psychic. Come on, every single episode shows his attention to details solving the crime.
I'm looking forward to some new, "fresh to death" nicknames for Gus :)
Wow. Someone's never seen Psych before.
Anyway, can't wait! I love this show. I've been living off reruns on Ion.
Loved the Twin Peaks episode from last season, and am completely excited about the Clue episode to come. One of my favorite movies. Would love to see Gus as Ms. White.
Didn't Tim Curry guest-star on the show in Season 2? Is his character coming back, or will he guest as someone new?
