The Elf on the Shelf: An Elf's Story is a new animated special based on the bestselling kid's book of the same name. Nine-year-old Taylor McTuttle isn't sure he quite believes in Santa Claus anymore (The horror! Well, at least he's setting himself up for less disappointment...) so a young elf, Chippey, is assigned to help restore Taylor's belief in the magic of Christmas. And that belief can't be bought, no matter how many awesome presents you got from your Christmas list.

The Elf on the Shelf: An Elf's Story airs tonight at 8:30 PM on CBS. If you're not quite ready for Christmas (or just don't celebrate it), Ace Ventura: Pet Dective airs at 8 PM on E!, Iron Man airs on Fox at 8 PM, and Scary Movie 2 airs on MTV at 8 PM.
