We're only two days into December, but Christmas has officially taken over -- even in places you normally wouldn't expect it to, like Supernatural's mid-season finale.
Sure, they might not actually be celebrating Christmas in tonight's episode, "Death's Door," (plus, would they even have the time?) but the description does sound a little bit like certain Charles Dickens-penned Christmas story. Tonight's episode picks up right where the last one left off, with Bobby having been shot in the head by Dick Roman. Barely alive, Bobby experiences visions of his childhood and takes a trip down memory lane, guided by his late hunter buddy Rufus, the Ghost of Christmas Bobby's Life Past.
Supernatural airs tonight at 9 PM on The CW.

They finally have a good episode - heartwrenching, poignant, and yes, I may have teared up a bit - and the boys are barely featured. In this uneven season (and after season 6's... whatever that was), it was nice to remember when the other characters were fully developed - when we actually cared about them and their backstories.
