Some couples wait until marriage to have sex. Others, like Ryan and Shanna, have had even less experience before the altar -- their first awkward, overeager, cringe-inducing-yet-you-can't-look-away kiss after their "I do"s certainly put Steve Carell's 40-Year-Old Virgin to shame.
TLC's hour-long special, Virgin Diaries, profiles 20- to 30-somethings that decided to wait 'til marriage to lose their V-cards, and invited TLC's cameras in for the big event. (No, not like that!) Expect lots of oversharing, like Shanna's wedding night fantasy (it begins with "I think you should take a shower first, and then I'll take a shower. And then I'll put on my lingerie..."), rubbing cheeks instead of kissing, and who knows what else. TLC says they're not exploiting these couples, however -- the special is just a big celebration of virginity. They certainly must be celebrating the buzz around Ryan and Shanna's kiss.
Virgin Diaries airs tonight at 9 PM on TLC.
