Jerry Seinfeld once said, "Stand-up is a loud desperation." Call me crazy, but that seems like quite the understatement for the man behind The Marriage Ref.
Tonight, David Steinberg will get up close and personal with Seinfeld -- and later in the episode, Don Rickles -- in this new Showtime series about understanding the craft behind comedy. Steinberg will talk about careers, life goals going forward, funniest and proudest moments, and, in Seinfeld's case, the difference between a star and a comic (to him, apparently, you can't be both). Future episodes will feature comedians like Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robin Williams, Jane Lynch and many more. Someday, someone will create a podcast just like this.
Showtime launches Inside Comedy tonight at 11:00 PM.

Thanks. He is raelly under recruited and under rated. I love Jay but again if a team is not a group champion the kid in question has to be from a known program to get recognition. I wish all the kids well but I can honestly say some who are not listed will be better in college than those who are. Jay sees alot of games and is very reputable. But no one including Tom Konchalsky always gets it right. Always remember the Mike O'Koren Story. Tom hates when folks bring it up lol. Tom had him rated as a D3 player and Dean Smith felt otherwise and the rest is history. Talk to you soon.
Which fan base is more nuts? Philadelphia Eagles or Kentucky Wildcats?CL, Nantz is not good or bad. He is agearve for college basketball. The fact that he does his first games of the season on Selection weekend bothers me. He talked about the Syr/Uconn game in the BE tourney, like he actually stayed up to watch it, betting against this. When I take over the world, one of the orders of Business will be to remove him from the Final Four and send him to AMEN corner a week early for a live promo for the Masters, in the pitch black darkness. Anyone know when the Masters is by the way?
Well, I know how I'm passing the evening.
