In tonight's winter season premiere, Zeek forces his entire family to pack up and travel on a bumpy ride to please his mother (played by Frances Sternhagen) on her birthday. The episode description promises lots of bonding time between Adam and Haddie (are those two even related anymore?), Sarah and Drew dealing with an "embarrassing issue" (gulp) and Julia learning to appreciate her brother Crosby's odd personality -- because that hasn't happened before in the 30-odd years that they've been siblings. Whatever. There's also the promise of Kristina actually punishing Max for something, which I won't believe until I see it... or until Max tests her again by wanting to go to an aquarium or something.

The third season winter premiere of Parenthood is tonight at 10 PM on NBC, opposite winter season debuts of Body of Proof on ABC and Unforgettable on CBS.
