Tonight, Necessary Roughness returns for a second season of Dr. Dani trying to help athletes with their non-physical problems. After a pretty strong first season that ended on a dramatic note and a surprise Golden Globe nomination for Callie Thorne, this is definitely one of the summer cable shows worth checking out. Who knows, maybe Necessary Roughness will try to be culturally relevant and we'll get to see Dr. Dani take on a Jesus-loving quarterback.

Necessary Roughness is on tonight at 10 PM on USA after the Season 4 premiere of Royal Pains at 9 PM.
