Tonight is the series finale of The Closer, but before you (or your grandmom) get too upset, it'll be immediately followed by the series premiere of Major Crimes, a spin-off filled with many of the characters from the original. After Brenda closes one more case -- and hopefully wraps all of the other personal and legal drama in her life (which apparently takes an hour and six minutes) -- Sharon Raydor will be getting plenty of her own challenges. Or at least enough to fill a TNT crime/workplace drama. So if you stuck with The Closer for seven seasons, get ready to say goodbye. At least there are plenty of other dramas with very, very similar premises to replace it.

The series finale of The Closer is on tonight at 9 PM, followed by the series premiere of Major Crimes at 10:06 PM, both on TNT. There's a lot more on tonight; 8 PM brings the series premiere of Hotel Hell on Fox and the 2-hour series premiere of Stars Earn Stripes on NBC. At 9 PM Remodeled will return on The CW, opposite the summer premiere of Intervention on A&E, followed immediately by a second episode at 10 PM. Also at 10 PM, choose between the Season 2 finale of Teen Wolf on MTV, the series premiere of Gallery Girls on Bravo and the Season 2 premiere of Grimm on NBC.
