Tonight is the first season finale of The Newsroom, and while we've already shared what we'll miss about it, we'll barely have a chance to, since Season 2 starts in January. After last week's episode, which included the riveting (ten-second) conclusion to the blackout storyline, along with the usual Don-Maggie-Jim-Lisa drama, what can be in store for the finale? Maybe MacKenzie will go on air and insult anyone who's ever read an entertainment magazine for an entire segment, followed by Dr. Sloane giving a lecture on how exactly a hedge fund works. In a fair world, Don and Jim would both realize how irritating and completely unlikable Maggie is, just before NewsNight gets cancelled. But then the innocent people of America would die of their own stupidity before Aaron Sorkin Will can save them.

The Season 1 finale of The Newsroom is on tonight at 10 PM on HBO. Also on tonight is the Season 4 finale of True Blood at 9 PM on HBO, along with the Season 2 finale of Episodes at 9:30 PM on Showtime.
