After a few not-so-successful attempts to return to television, Matthew Perry is back on NBC, and while it may not be Friends- level (then again, is anything?), based on tonight's series premiere episode, Go On looks like it might have a pretty good shot. Perry stars as sportscaster and recent widower Ryan King, who must attend group therapy following his loss before he can return to work. There are some familiar faces in his support group, including Julie White of Transformers and a grown-up Tyler James Williams of Everybody Hates Chris, who seems like the series' most promising character. Perry needs a win, but even if this fails, at least he didn't team up with Aaron Sorkin again on The Newsroom.

The series premiere of Go On is on tonight at 11:04 PM -- a special date and time -- on NBC. Its regular season will start on Tuesday, September 11 at 9 PM. Also on tonight is the Season 1 finale of Dallas at 9 PM on TNT, followed by the Season 1 finale of Final Witness at 10 PM on ABC. Tonight is also the series premiere of the unnecessary Toddlers & Tiaras spin-off Here Comes Honey Boo Boo at 10 PM on TLC.
