The eighth season of How I Met Your Mother starts tonight and will pick up where it left off last season, but in the show's signature complicated way. After the big reveal of Barney's bride, we'll actually get to see more of his future wedding day, and in the process, Ted will tell Robin the story of him and Victoria running off on her wedding day -- or the ending of last season's finale. It will take the rest of the season for the two timelines to catch up, and depending on whether this is the show's final season, we may at some point, get to meet Mrs. Mosby.

The Season 8 premiere of How I Met Your Mother is on tonight at 8 PM on CBS, opposite the Season 15 premiere of Dancing with the Stars on ABC. Later on CBS are the series premiere of Partners at 8:30 PM, the Season 2 premiere of 2 Broke Girls at 9 PM and the Season 3 premiere of Mike & Molly at 9:30 PM. Tonight the Season 2 finale of The LA Complex is also on, at 9 PM on The CW. Ending the night are the Season 3 premiere of Hawaii Five-0 on CBS and the Season 5 premiere of Castle on ABC, both at 10 PM.
