Former The Office star/writer/producer and hilarious book author Mindy Kaling is bringing her many talents to her own comedy, The Mindy Project. The pilot's been online for a while now, but if you haven't watched it yet, tonight is the official television premiere. She plays the romantic comedy-obsessed OB/GYN Mindy Lahiri, and is joined by Chris Messina as the douche-y Danny, who hopefully we'll get to see more of as the show continues. The pilot has some funny moments it's worth sticking around for the next few weeks to give Mindy a real chance.

The series premiere of The Mindy Project is on tonight at 9:30 PM on Fox. Also on tonight are the Season 2 premiere of New Girl at 8 PM on Fox. Later is the Season 4 premiere of NCIS: Los Angeles at 9 PM on CBS, opposite the Season 3 finale of Top Gear on History. After that is the Season 6 premiere of Private Practice at 10 PM on ABC, opposite the series premiere of Vegas on CBS. Finally, tonight is also the series premiere of Brickleberry at 10:30 PM on Comedy Central.
