After five seasons, Damages is ending tonight. It's been pretty enjoyable and of course with such an impressive cast (which also includes Rose Byrne and Ryan Phillipe) it will be missed. Between the ridiculous amount of tension still rising between Patty and Ellen and those last links still needed to bridge the present storyline to the season premiere's flash-forward, the finale is sure to be explosive. But in Damages, explosions usually mean manipulation, secrecy and subdued drama, and they're just as thrilling as the over-the-top antics of some other dramas we know.

The series finale of Damages is on tonight at 9 PM on DirecTV. Also on tonight are the Season 2 premiere of the revamped The X Factor at 8 PM on Fox and the series premiere of Guys With Kids at 10 PM on NBC. Tonight's also the Season 27 finale of The Real World. Yes, 27.
