Since MTV loves to run its reality shows into the ground, tonight starts the 23rd season of The Challenge. This year, former The Real World cast members desperately try to lengthen their 15 minutes by competing in a Battle of the Seasons in Turkey and Namibia, which means those countries will join Italy on the list of places where MTV has embarrassed Americans. But admittedly, The Challenge is much more entertaining than either of the shows it draws its cast from and the drama mixed with what can be some intense challenges is pretty addicting.

The 90-minute season 23 premiere of The Challenge is on tonight at 10 PM on MTV. Tonight is also the 90-minute Season 25 premiere of Survivor at 8 PM, followed by the 90-minute Season 14 finale of Big Brother at 9:30 PM, both on CBS. Finally, tonight is the Season 4 finale of Royal Pains at 9 PM on USA.
