Tonight on the highly anticipated fourth season premiere of The Vampire Diaries, we pick up right after Season 3's big accident... just in case you've forgotten, that means with Elena waking up to realize she's a vampire -- or, at least, she's got vampire blood in her system. We're thinking the writers will find a way out of this, but in the meantime, we'll see Stefan and Damon fight about who really loves her more, obviously. There's also the whole thing about Pastor Young and the Town Council trying to round up all of the vampires and their supporters, which will probably turn out really well and not tragic for everyone.

The Vampire Diaries Season 4 premiere airs tonight at 8 PM on The CW, the network that cares not about politics, so after it is the series premiere of Beauty and the Beast at 9 PM. FX also has new content on tonight, with the season premieres of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Brand X and Totally Biased starting at 10 PM.
