In addition to the presidential debate and championship baseball, the series premiere of Emily Owen, M.D. is on tonight. It stars Mamie Gummer as a surgical intern at a Denver hospital. It's like a cross between Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy, but without the humor of one and with more younger doctors than the other. Of course, it is on The CW, so there should be some kind of love triangle, and both men involved will be unreasonably attractive and most likely have some kind of reason to be shirtless at least once per episode. At least it has to be better than Mob Doctor.

The series premiere of Emily Owens, M.D. is on tonight at 9 PM on The CW. Also on this evening are the Season 1 fall premiere of Chicagolicious on Style, the Season 3 fall premiere of Covert Affairs on USA, the series premiere of Extreme Cheapskates on TLC and the series premiere of Underemployed on MTV, all at 10 PM.
