Now entering its third iteration, the very popular Teen Mom series on MTV should provide to be a cautionary tale for young girls. Whether that cautionary tale is about the perils of becoming a teen mom or becoming a famous teen mom (arrests, appearing porn, tabloid covers about your personal heartaches) is up for debate.

The VMAs pride themselves on being a night of surprises, but thanks to the Stephen Colbert debacle, we know for sure that Daft Punk will be making a "surprise" appearance at the ceremony. It's also a pretty safe bet to assume that fellow performer Lady Gaga will wear something outrageous when she debuts her new single "ARTPOP" and Kanye West will say something outrageous. So maybe this year it will be best to expect the expecting.

Teen Wolf continues to be a surprising force to be reckoned with for MTV. The series, based very loosely off the Michael J. Fox comedy classic of the same name has had its highest rated season to date and more recently walked away with the title of Best Ensemble at the Young Hollywood Awards.

People can't still think this show is "unscripted," right?

I'm not convinced this show serves any other purpose than setting up GIFs, but to be fair, those GIFs are pretty damn entertaining.

Been meaning to watch this show, but can't be bothered to sit through the first two seasons? MTV's got you covered.

It's nice to finally talk about Awkward on MTV and not have it be in reference to the Movie Awards or Teen Mom 2.

I know this show doesn't have any potato guns or fist-pumping, but it does have young people with dignity, which is probably why no one's watching it. That, or because it's kind of boring. Either way.
