Sunday, December 29, 2013: Treme

It's time to give a proper New Orleans send-off to the underrated Treme: after just four seasons (including this current, shortened season), David Simon's drama comes to an end for good.

The episode, which runs 75 minutes long and is titled "...To Miss New Orleans" tells us what happens to Colson (David Morse), Batiste (Wendell Pierce),McAlary (Steve Zahn), Hidalgo (Jon Seda), and Lambreaux (Rob Brown), in addition to the rest of the characters from this talented ensemble.

It's good we have so many NOLA-based shows on the air right now, but none captured the spirit of the vibrant city quite like this show did. It will be missed.

The series finale of Treme can be seen at 9 PM ET on HBO. There's also the 2013 presentation of The Kennedy Center Honors airs at 9 PM ET on CBS, and, on the other end of the TV spectrum there's the Season 4 debut of Sister Wives, which begins at 9 PM ET on TLC.
