Wednesday, January 29, 2014: Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond

Fleming. Ian Fleming.

Alright, so it doesn't have quite the same sexy ring that "Bond... James Bond" does, but this new four-part drama tells the story of the cavalier playboy who would become the inspiration for the most famous spy in fiction. Dominic Cooper plays the titular Fleming, a man's man whose exploits with fast cars and fast women are only matched by his involvement with helping in the efforts against the Nazis in World War II.

The saga, which is part of BBC America's Dramaville and also stars Rupert Evans and Lesley Manville, gives the back story of the man who helped in the creation of a pop culture icon.

Part one of Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond kicks off at 10 PM ET on BBC America. In case that wasn't enough to get you shaken (or stirred), there's also the Season 3 finale of American Horror Story at 10 PM ET on FX or Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged at 9 PM ET on MTV.
