Our preferred J.J. Abrams project is finally back -- sorry, Revolution.

It's 2036 for Olivia, the Bishops and the rest of the Fringe team as the fifth and final season returns tonight. With the amount of questions and unfinished plotlines still left, this 13-episode season needs to fill each minute with plenty of its plot-twists and mythology to leave us with the ending we want. Unlike, say, a certain other Abrams-created series (hint: it's not Alcatraz). If you're not already a Fringe fan, it's not exactly the kind of show to jump into midway, but if you start catching up, it'll be well worth the time.

The Season 5 premiere of Fringe is on tonight at 9 PM on FOX. Also on tonight are the Season 9 premiere of CSI: NYat 8 PM, the series premiere of Made in Jersey at 9 PM and the Season 3 premiere of Blue Bloods at 10 PM, all on CBS. Then there's the series premiere of Paranormal Paparazzi at 7 PM on Travel.
