For the first time ever, it feels like this show hasn't been on in a while. Hooray!

Also of note: Jillian Michaels is back, duh! While the themes of this show can generally be described as "tame" or, more often, "stupid," this time around "Challenge America" actually has a genuinely great new aspect: Three teenagers, aged 13 to 17, one for each team, compete for the prize -- and, more importantly, the weight loss -- outside the ranch so as not to turn them into little NBC slaves, which I imagine has the potential to be especially inspiring to younger views of the show. I don't even mind that one of the kidtestants calls himself Biingo... wait, there's two i's in that? Are you trying to make me look like a bad person, here?

Biggest Loser 14 airs tonight at 9 PM on NBC. If you're looking for some variety, tonight is your night: There's also the third season of Mob Wives on VH1 at 8 PM, a new episode of Once Upon a Time at 8 PM on ABC, the winter premieres of the Fox animated sitcoms (The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy and American Dad) starting at 8 PM, the Season 3 premiere of Downton Abbey at 9 PM on PBS (apologizes on sounding so American just then), a new episode of The Good Wife on CBS at 9 PM, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Halloween special on TLC at 9 PM (why?!), the series premiere of Making Mr. Right on VH1 at 9 PM, a new episode of Revenge on ABC at 9 PM, the Season 3 finale of Ice Loves Coco on E! at 10 PM, a new episode of The Mentalist on CBS at 10 PM, the one-hour special presentation of Best Funeral Ever on TLC at 10 PM (even more why?!), new episodes of Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B---- In Apt 23 at 10 & 10:30 PM for some reason, and the Season 9 premiere of Watch What Happens: Live at 11 PM on Bravo.
