Your favorite Southern family that isn't on Honey Boo is back.
Stars of Duck Dynasty the Robertsons are fun-loving rednecks who made a fortune selling hand-made duck callers -- whistles used by hunters to attract their feathered friends. Now back for its fourth season (which begins with a one-hour episode), the show may sound like the dozen or so other programs out there capitalizing off our country's fascination with dysfunctional families and funny accents. But the Robertsons are actually really good people, and the show provides quite a few moments of genuine humor -- which is more than I can say about most of the broadcast comedies airing this summer. Also, the males of this clan possess some of the beardiest beards that ever did beard. It's worth checking out, just to ogle those monstrosities.
Catch the fourth season, hour-long premiere of Duck Dynasty at 10 PM on A&E, following the Season 3 finale of Franklin and Bash at 9 on TNT. At 9:30, TLC will air its special Extreme Cougar Wives. Man, remember when they were The Learning Channel?
