This Mother's Day, give your matriarch the remote -- there's some serious Wisteria Lane watching do to tonight.

Gah! A lot of stuff is going down on Wisteria Lane. Half the street is in some kind of physical danger -- possibly all of it, depending on the size of the bomb Angie is building for Patrick. Theoretically, Patrick wants it to blow up some clearcutting loggers, but now that Angie's warned Gaby via the old "note-in-the-lasagna-eaten-out-of-the-trash-by-hungry-kids" trick, Nick is on his way (and possibly the police, because Gaby doesn't always follow instructions), and Patrick might have to set off the bomb to keep his entirely hostage-based family unit intact. ...Well, intact in spirit.

The least-anticipated season finale of Desperate Housewives ever is here at last. This season has taught us that bringing back old beloved characters from earlier seasons doesn't always bring the best out of a show. It was a great surprise to see the return of Paul Young, an old enemy to Wysteria Lane, but did they do anything clever with it? They repeatedly recycled plot lines we've seen before: Paul Young's wife shoots herself, Felicia is stirring up trouble in Paul's life, Susan Mayer is a victim (this time with a kidney problems), Gaby ticks off Carlos, and Lynette can't keep her man happy. Can this show's season finale save what might be its weakest season?

If Desperate Housewives used popular music on their show at all, the Gin Blossoms' "Hey Jealousy" would probably kick in at some point, since jealousy is the theme of the episode. Bree is jealous of both Orson, who dances with someone else when she won't, and Karl, who is seeing another girl in addition to cheating with her. And Carlos is jealous of Gabrielle, who bumps into her old flame John Rowland (Jesse Metcalfe) while out to eat at a restaurant with her family.

The show turns 100! Alrighty, maybe it only seems like it has been on for 100 years. Instead, it has only been 100 episodes, of which about 30 were actually ones we liked. Still, this is a very special one, or so we're told, so if you are a regular fan, or a fair-weather one (not that we blame you) it might be one you want to watch.
