It's almost your last chance to watch an amazing female cop who isn't named Olivia Benson.
It's time to say goodbye to Brenda Johnson and the rest of her crew... well, some of them anyway.
Coming off of a pretty solid penultimate episode, The Closer celebrates its Season 7 winter finale tonight one a quiet note... because the episode is named "Silent Partner"! [Rimshot]
So where did we leave off last season? Ah, yes. "CONFEYUSS!" I think that about catches us up, doesn't it? What, you need more? Okay, Brenda chose Fritz over work for once, Brenda and Capt. Raydor admitted they didn't like each other, and Brenda got a kitten. Seriously, that was a big development last season. Her cat died, and she got a kitten. You have to love a character for whom kitten purchases are a major emotional hurdle. Especially on a show where people die all the time and are occasionally mailed to the police in coolers.
It's the season finale of The Closer tonight, and there appears to trouble in paradise, if you can describe being married to Det. Brenda Johnson "paradise." Although she has survived the death of her cat, whom she dotes on, her husband Fritz the FBI agent has apparently become fed up with her complaining about her job. Gasp! Brenda is obsessed with her own cases, and doesn't care about anybody or anything else? How is this suddenly a problem now that they're married, and not in the many seasons they'd been dating?
