Oh tailgating, the best excuse for nonstop day-drinking since St. Patrick's Day.
I don't know what it is about watching FX that makes me feel okay with laughing at racism, sexism and homophobia -- as opposed to say, CBS -- but what I've learned from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League is that there is definitely something powerful at work here, because Thursdays on this channel are basically known as "Terrific Lady Days" 'round these parts.
Warning: this episode of The League is very heavy on the football references. I mean, the show is usually pretty sports-heavy, since it's ostensibly about a fantasy football league, but seeing as the season premiere has the entire League going to Las Vegas to hang out with Chad Ochocinco and make their draft picks for the season, it's a lot more key to know something about football for this episode. (Or at least to be able to tolerate discussion of it for longer than usual.) It's kind of like The Guild in that sense, but for a completely different subsection of geek. Does that make Chad Ochocinco the Wil Wheaton of sports?
