It's time for (finally) saying goodbye.
An annual tradition is coming to an end, and it looks like it's going out with a... flop.
It's been eight episodes already, and yet we know next to nothing about
Michael Scott's replacement the new Sabre CEO, Robert California, besides the fact that he creeps everyone out and can tell a good ghost story. That's all going to change tonight... hopefully.
It's guest-star-apalooza on The Office finale tonight, featuring such famous talents as: Jim Carrey! Ray Romano! Donna Noble! James Spader! Will Arnett! And Ricky Gervais! Ordinarily I'd ask for some cheese with my whine where stuntcasting is concerned, but the show could use a fun little departure episode like this, especially with visits from those admittedly very funny people. (Yes, even Ray Romano. Men of a Certain Age has redeemed him for me. Don't judge me.)
If you weren't a fan of Steve Carell's Michael Scott, now is the time for you to watch The Office.
It's back! The final season of The Office with star Steve Carell begins tonight, and 24 episodes from tonight we'll know who the star of the next season will be and who will run Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch -- and the two positions may not be filled by the same person. In the meantime, here's hoping Michael Scott gets his happy ending, and we don't mean the kind Creed Bratton is probably thinking about. Okay, so how are we starting this season off right?!
We all know that babies ruin TV shows, but we're curious to see tonight's Jam-Baby double episode of The Office, if only to see how the staff of Dunder-Mifflin can mess up a childbirth. After all, messing up someone's wedding is not only funny, it's easy, but effing with the delivery of a baby is a proposition fraught with disaster. Perhaps that's why the promos focus less on wackiness and more on heartstring-pulling. I guess nobody wants to see a baby fall through a drop-ceiling.
So there's this little show that's on tonight that we think you should watch. It's kind of an under-the-radar thing, called The Office, and-- ...Oh, you've heard of it? Then you know that it's pretty damn fun -- ...Yes, that's true, some people say it's not as funny as it used to be, and -- ...Well, I guess you could argue that the characters have turned into caricatures, but that seems like just a one-syllable difference, to me, and it's still a damn funny show. And it'll only get funnier tonight, when legendary funnyman Idris Elba shows up to deliver his own brand of hilarity and turns -- ...No? He's from what? The Wire? Is that a British comedy?
Well, it's finally here, and you're either really looking forward to it or you stopped caring about the show months/years ago. It's the Office wedding episode, and we don't mean the one between Phyllis and Bob Vance of Vance Refrigeration. No, Jim and Pam, affectionately known as "Jam," are making it official and getting married at Niagara Falls, which is a not-so-clever attempt to keep their co-workers from coming. But they're all coming, even if some of them are being a little fast and loose with their RSVPs.
