Fans of delightful British accents can rejoice in the casting of the apartheid-era thriller Endgame which began shooting in the U.K. and South Africa this week. Per Dark Horizons,William Hurt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jonny Lee Miller, Mark Strong, Derek Jacobi and Timothy West have all signed on to star in the Pete Travis (Vantage Point) film.

Meanwhile, THR came out with some other casting news today for the film 500 Days of Summer, a Fox Searchlight flick tagged as an anti-romantic comedy. (A genre, I would like to point out, ever-growing in popularity and seriously hampering my chances of becoming engaged in the next year. I'm looking at you, The Breakup.) Due to be directed by former music video director Marc Webb, the film will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, and will tell the story of "a relationship between a woman (Deschanel) who doesn't believe in love and the man (Gordon-Levitt) who falls hopelessly in love with her."

In related news, Dark Horizons got an exclusive first look at a set pic from G.I. Joe, which stars Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander, and if the rest of the movie is as cool looking as the outfit Saïd Taghmaoui is wearing in the picture, I will be seriously jazzed.
