The Hills Have I, says Rogen

Celebrity battles with addiction and vice are nothing new. You can't turn on the TV or browse the net without turning up a story about what kind of trouble young actresses are getting themselves into. Some stars are addicted to plastic surgery, or drugs, or have a little touch of the kleptomania. Others are habitual horndogs. Shows like Celebrity Rehab wouldn't exist if addiction didn't run rampant in Hollywood. Well, there's another addiction on the list of dangers celebs face, and it's The Hills.

The MTV "reality" series is a relatively new danger, but it's already got its slender, tanned fingers into Seth Rogen, according to the MTV Movies Blog. The future Green Hornet admitted to his jonesing for The Hills while prepping for his role as a standup comic in an upcoming Judd Apatow movie. Except he's not joking. "'I watch the living crap out of it,'" he says. According to the blog, "he'll be trying out a bunch of new material" at various L.A.-area comedy clubs, along with co-stars Adam Sandler and Leslie Mann. The actors are apparently all writing their own standup routines and supposedly some of Rogen's "best stuff" will be about The Hills.

But will he be poking fun at the show, or at himself for watching "watching the shit out of [it]"? Either way, he's at least made a positive first step in dealing with his addiction. The first step is to admit you have a problem. The second is to change the channel.

Funny People also stars Eric Bana, Jason Schwartzman, and Apatow alumn Jonah Hill, and has a release date of July 31, 2009.
