I've never understood the commitment of people who stand on line for hours or days for concert tickets, but I think those who do the same for a movie are bonkers. Unlike a concert, a movie like The Dark Knight will play on a bazillion screens a gajillion times a day. Why the hell would anybody sleep in a tent for weeks (as that guy did for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace tickets -- I bet he felt like Ewok shit after seeing it) or attempt to go to a 3 AM showing of something so readily available to the general public? Is something wrong with me for finding this a trifle psychotic?

The article further states: "About 38 percent of ticket buyers polled by Fandango said in a recent survey that they intended to take some or all of July 18 off to see 'The Dark Knight.'" Reminds me of when a friend of mine called out sick so she could go see Beaches, only to run into her boss at the concession stand. She got Twizzlers and fired at the same time. Don't let this happen to you! The Dark Knight is 152 minutes long. Go to the 6 AM showing, which should let out, with trailers and commercials, about 8:49. Then take your fanatical ass to work.
