With the impossibly cute Audrey Tautou signed on to star, Warner Brothers went and hired House of Chanel art director Karl Lagerfeld to supervise re-creations of the legend's attire. This seems a bit extreme to me, but then, the closest I normally get to haute couture is when someone corrects my pronunciation of the word "haute." Of course, the man has been everywhere lately. Seeing his haughty, obviously-had-work-done mug grace the pages of The Hollywood Reporter is one thing, but not two days ago he had me double-checking my URL when I found him on Cute Overload, of all places. (He's getting a teddy bear, you guys. The Karl Lagerfeld Teddy Bear will be released in September at Neiman Marcus in New York and will go for around FOURTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS.) So, maybe it's a vanity move. If Warner Brothers is going to start handing those out, I'd like to be hired on as the Supervisor of Thursday Stuff when they make Movies Without Pity, The Movie Without Pity.
