Something she would have found equally interesting -- as all eight of the movies she had on tape were musicals -- is that 20th Century Fox and MGM have teamed up to release 50 of their most famous musicals into one (gigantic) DVD set. Including West Side Story, Guys and Dolls and Fiddler on the Roof, the package set will also include postcard reproductions of the films' original theatrical one-sheets. A shame, as my Great Aunt Muriel would have found a way to incorporate them into her already eclectic sitting room décor, or else they would have just been added to the already to-bursting FREE table at her estate sale. Except for maybe the one from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which she found weird, and the one from The Sound of Music, which would have been buried with her -- she had a terrible crush on Christopher Plummer. The set will be released on November 11th.
