One of the reasons being bandied about for its relative current obscurity is the fact that United Talent Agency, who packaged the film and will be taking it to Utah, may want the film to make a splash at the festival much like Napoleon Dynamite did four years ago. Whether or not that will work remains to be seen, as Hearts is working with some well-known actors who are already draws at the box office, and Napoleon Dynamite was filled with a bunch of unknowns. Not that I'm, like, a business guru when it comes to the financial schemes of Hollywood -- I did after all, think that both Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Alvin and the Chipmunks would both tank. So, sound investment or not, Paper Hearts is available for distribution, and anyone who can afford a ticket to Park City and however much a development deal is... here's your opportunity!
