So, appropriately, the best picture nominees for this award you've never heard of are all movies you haven't seen yet. The drama nominees (the category is also known as, "Your Chances Are Improved if Kate Winslet's in Your Movie") are: The Reader (in limited release later this month), Slumdog Millionaire (in limited release), Revolutionary Road (in limited release around Christmas), Frost/Nixon (opens in limited release on Friday), Milk (the widest release so far), and Frozen River (the indie-est of indies, released in July).

And the awards are announced (or are they presented? The official site is sending mixed messages) on Dec. 14, which is still before most of the movies have been released to many audience. So you can see why these aren't televised. It's bad enough watching an awards show when you've only seen half of the movies, but when you haven't even had a chance to see them? Not going to happen.
