Transformers 2: Electric-Car Boogaloo

It's a well-known fact to anyone within earshot of my office that I didn't like the first Transformers movie. In addition to an apparent hatred of the original cartoon, I thought it showed a hatred of humanity, from the robot characters' utter disregard for human lives to the human characters' lack of anything resembling real emotion to, yes, the peeing-on-John-Turturro incident. (No, I will not let it go. John Turturro is a national treasure.) So seeing all of the cool-looking new robots in the trailer for Revenge of the Fallen (Devastator! Ravage! The Fallen!) has my insides churning like Devastator's sand-hole. Could it possibly be good, thereby redeeming the original film and, in fact, the entire Michael Bay film library in my eyes? Doubtful. But the robots certainly look awesome. We gathered as much information as we could about the new robots and got some updates on the four returning primaries for a gallery we like to call Robot Roll Call! Check it out here, and let us know what you think of the movie below.

You moronic geeky nerd!! Cool robots? What are you? 12? Just wait for it to come out on Bluray, then watch it in all of its HiDef glory, and the sheer picture and sound quality will blow away!

You know, you could watch movies with fantastic cinematography on Blu-Ray too. Stuff like The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford jumps to mind as something that's great in HD as well as intellectually stimulating.
I'm just saying.

Oh yeah, Transformers is awesome and all of that. I wonder if they'll try to steal Shia's pants in this one too.

Yes yes, absolutely, but I was thinking more in terms of how the bluray (or HDDVD, not sure) of the previous movie is a great way to show off your Home theater equipment. That's the thing with Hi-Def, even if a film's plot leaves a lot to be desired, the amazing picture quality and soundtrack make for a rather nice experience in the end.

Same reasoning applies to the 1st as applies to the 2nd. You watch it for the huge robots.

As for "treatment of John Turturro"...he was playing a character (broadly) in a humorous (well, to some) scene. I'd suggest it was just as "wrong" for Streep to be in the Mamma Mia movie.

Somehow unsurprisingly this reminded me of megan fox... And the insane robot chick. But more megan fox. For man-kind, I hope she is in transformers 3!!

Really an interesting note, however my opinion is a bit different. No matter, the more readers, the more different POVs and I respect your one. And I'm also willing to see your other posts, too!
