Everybody's Fine
The title is meant to be sarcastic; a more accurate title might be "Everybody's Guarded and Secretive," or "Everybody's Lying to Robert De Niro." As the distant, recently widowed patriarch who surprises his four children at their homes when they won't come to see him, De Niro plays a believable suburban retiree. So it gets a little frustrating to watch as he repeatedly has the truth hidden from him and is treated like a child by three of his selfish kids, and a little sad as you slowly find out what has happened to the fourth. Worth a rental on DVD, whether you've seen the Italian original or not.

The September Issue
In this documentary, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and her team of editors put together the Bible of fashion, their annual 800+ page special edition. Suspiciously absent is the scene where Wintour throws her back out trying to lift it.

The Informant!
If anything, this Matt Damon comedy shows us that more movies should have exclamation points in the title. Think how much more fun The Godfather!, The Exorcist! and Avatar! would have been with a little extra punctuation. [Our original review.]

Double Identity
An American doctor in Bulgaria is mistaken for a spy and hunted by a dangerous gangster. Here's a helpful hint -- when traveling in Eastern Europe, try not to look too much like Val Kilmer. That will always get you in trouble. ""Of course he's a spy! Didn't you see The Saint?"

The End of the Line
Coincidentally, this movie's title was mistaken for that of a spy movie, but it turned out to be a documentary about fish extinction narrated by Ted Danson. Go figure!

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
Behold! Proof that vampires are not always a guaranteed moneymaker! This movie looked like it had more in common with Dracula: Dead and Loving It than Twilight, but now that it's out on DVD, we'll check it out just for the freak shows. [Our original review.]

The Box
Unfortunately, you aren't just getting the box, you're getting the terrible Richard Kelly movie inside it, as well. The box is harmless, and possibly useful. The movie is neither. [Our original review.].
