BLOGS
A lot of jokes have been made about the two Coreys over the years, and most of them were at the expense of Corey Haim, who died today of a drug overdose. Granted, Feldman appeared in many more, debatably higher-quality films than his frequent co-star, but only Haim has a fan video titled Me, Myself and I, where he lounges in his pool, plays the keyboard and bites his lower lip a lot. And while we're sure Haim would have loved to have Stand By Me and The Goonies on his resumé, he was actually in some really good movies when he was in his prime (ages 14-20). Here are five films every Haim fan should have in their DVD library.
Silver Bullet (1985)
Movies based on Stephen King novels have a tendency to come out a little overdone. Too much (or too little) essence of King can ruin a good movie. And while it's not his best-known book or film, Silver Bullet actually comes across as a decent werewolf movie, and Haim's wheelchair-bound protagonist is an unlikely action hero, especially when backed up by Gary Busey, Terry O'Quinn and Anne of Green Gables.
Lucas (1986)
As a nerdy, 14-year-old insect lover who joins the high school football team to impress his cheerleader friend (Andy from The Goonies), Lucas gives Sean Astin's Rudy a run for his money in the underdog athlete hall of fame. It'd be a must-see even without supporting performances from Charlie Sheen, Winona Ryder, Courtney-Thorne Smith and Jeremy Piven.
The Lost Boys (1987)
You know it, you love it, you might have seen the direct-to-DVD sequel they made in 2008 (in which Haim only had a cameo). But the original remains a classic, with Haim desperately and, often, hilariously struggling to save his brother (Jason Patric) from becoming part of a vampire tribe (Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Alex Winter). His first collaboration with Feldman, here an amateur vampire hunter.
License to Drive (1988)
Another Haim/Feldman joint, this one sees Haim borrowing his grandfather's vintage Caddy to impress a popular girl (Heather Graham). The problem is, Haim failed his driver's test, and barely survives a night out with the drunken girl and his nerdy friends. The ending features one of the greatest stunt driving sequences of all time.
Prayer of the Rollerboys (1991)
Of all of the late-'80s/early '90s rollerskating movies (Solarbabies, Airborne), Prayer of the Rollerboys isn't the only one in which rollerskating is the preferred means of transportation in the future, or even the only one starring a Lost Boys cast member, but it is the only one with an undercover Corey Haim infiltrating a gang of rollerblading white supremacists. 'Nuff said.
Haim was also really good in Crank: High Voltage, but it wasn't really a starring vehicle, so we left it off. What's your favorite Corey Haim movie? It's Snowboard Academy, isn't it. Admit it below.

My favorite was the Lost boys.
"Dream a Little Dream" was the best Haim/Feldman movie. The plot was awesome and I can still watch that movie over and over.
"Lucas" was my favorite out of all of his movies, but Feldman was my favorite Corey. It's a shame his life had to end this way, but you had to know it would.
The Lost Boys always.
the movie "BLOWN AWAY"... has corey haim and cory feldman in it... and some good looking blonde.... this ISNT "blown away" with tommy lee jones... there are 2 movies with the same name... most people dont know this...
Dream A Little Dream. Definitely my favorite.
He was great as the little brother in 'First Born'
I remember being stunned when I saw him in Crank: High Voltage. My favorite of his is between Lucas and Dream a Little Dream.
OH SILVER BULLET WAS AWESOME!!
Goodbye Corey, we'll miss you.
"the movie "BLOWN AWAY"... has corey haim and cory feldman in it... and some good looking blonde...."
Wasn't she Nicole Eggert from Charles in Charge?
He is terrific as Sally Fields' son in "Murphy's Romance"....my favorite of his.....RIP Corey
My favourites were anything for love, Lucas and dream a little dream. It's so sad that his life took the road it did because he was actually a good little actor, he was great a comedy, plus he was absolutely adorable. It's sad that he's going to be talked about and appreciated more now that he's dead then when he was alive, it seemed that he was really trying to make a comeback.
Just One of the Girls. It was absurd, but compelling. Nicole Eggert was in that one.
Yeah that was the chick from CIC. They actually did a plethora of movies together.
Fast Getaway! I & II - craptastically awesome1
everyday i wake up i have to remind myself cor has gone. iam 30 years old and corey haim was my life, i loved him as a true fan should love all his movies, but my favourite movies starring corey the genuis haim is first born, silver bullet, lucas, the lost boys off cource, licence to drive, dream a little dream, fast getaway life 101, blown away and prayer of the roller boys. each nite i go to bed i light a candle beside my signed framed photo of him and have a wee cry. his memory will forever live on in my mind, i just dont think people reliase we have lost the greatest child and teen actor on the planet along with river phoenix. i donated 90 pounds to his donation site and plan to donate another 150 pounds. the day corey died a good bit of myself died too, i guess i just want him back. also my heart pours out to judy, bernie, carol and daniel lee haim, but i cry more for judy because she lost her gorgeous son in her arms. one main thing i will really miss about corey is his gorgeous smile and his open mouth trademark. rest in peace my hero. death by stero.
i love The Lost Boys AWESOME!!
