Ice Road Truckers: The Movie? We Cast Potential Truckers

I've never really watched an entire episode of Ice Road Truckers, mostly because I already get a close enough look at big rigs moving at unsafe speeds every winter when I get on the New York and New Jersey highways. But apparently it's a popular show, so popular that they're making a feature film out of it. While Hollywood has had a long love affair with truckers (Smokey and the Bandit, Convoy, Black Dog, Over the Top, Big Trouble in Little China), the "truckers vs. the elements" angle has never really been explored. But who could play this rare breed of thrill-seeking, steady-handed daredevils? Since they change up the show's roster every season, we simply picked out some of the actors we think would make great truck drivers. No judgment, just a feeling.

Originally titled Bathtub Time Machine, this week's major DVD release was intended to teach kids about having fun while keeping clean, and featured several history-based games kids could play in the tub. Then, at the last minute, it was turned into a raunchy sex comedy.

Toy Story 3 Rules the Playroom: Knights and Grown Ups Not Allowed

It's summertime, which means parents need to find stuff for their kids to do, which means they're taking them to a lot of movies. That's why we can expect to see Toy Story 3 in the Top Ten for a looong time, given that it's getting even better reviews than How to Train Your Dragon, which also stuck around for a while a couple of months back. This weekend the film landed the #7 spot on the list of highest second-weekend grosses of all time with $59 million, and became the fifth-highest grossing movie of the year. I certainly don't envy the upcoming supervillain cartoon Despicable Me having to meet a bar that's been set so high.

Twilight: The Deadliest Vampire Attacks Of All Time

In the latest installment of the Twilight saga, Eclipse, the characters learn of a rash of murders being committed in nearby Seattle by a gang of newborn vampires. Of course, in the world of Twilight there's a vampire police force, the Volturi, that would normally quell such a high-profile incident, but that isn't the case in every movie where vampires exist. Most of the time, it seems there is no force on Earth that can stand up to a vampire, especially when there's more than one of them. What follows are some of the deadliest vampire attacks ever recorded on film, in terms of number of humans killed/turned.

Knight and Day Makes Me Remember Why I Like Tom Cruise

Admit it -- except for all the scenes where Cameron Diaz is screaming and running around in circles, the commercials for Knight and Day make it look like a fun movie. And, except for those scenes, it is. The story has some logic holes, and the romance feels a little forced, but the action is pretty spectacular (if largely comedic), the supporting cast is fun, and Tom Cruise plays a goofy, likable character the likes of which we haven't seen since A Few Good Men. As long as you don't mind Cameron Diaz, and don't let a little couch-jumping affect your enjoyment of the Cruise, it's a fluffy, lightweight romance with a body count.

Grown Ups: It's Embarrassingly Enjoyable

Well, this is embarrassing. All week I was excited about eviscerating this movie in blog form -- quite literally high on negativity, as I often am -- but when I finally watched it, I actually... kind of liked it. Maybe I was just in a good mood, maybe it was all the sunshine we've been having, maybe I've lost my mind, but the fact remains that I honestly enjoyed Grown Ups. Though I should note that I do seem to be the only one in the world who did.

Doctor Strange: We Cast the Film Version of the Comic-Book Sorcerer

Move over, Nicolas Cage, there's a new sorcerer coming to town! The latest Marvel superhero to get a feature film (maybe) has been revealed, and it's none other than Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange. A cocky neurosurgeon who damaged his hands in a drunk-driving accident, Stephen Strange traveled to the Himalayas to heal himself but ended up being tapped to defend our dimension against otherworldly foes. One of the longtime power players in the Marvel Universe, the spell-casting mystery man could be a great role for the right actor to sink his teeth into, so we thought we'd help Hollywood out by revealing who we think would be perfect for the part, not to mention Strange's mystical supporting cast. By the crimson bands of Cyttorak, read on!

Grown Ups: What's Up With Adam Sandler and His Overly Literal Titles?

What is it about Adam Sandler that makes filmmakers want to give his movies the least creative, most self-explanatory titles possible? Sure, some of them are meant to be ironic -- for instance, Grown Ups seems to be about some of the least mature people in the world -- and we occasionally get a mouthful like You Don't Mess With the Zohan or I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, but the rest of his titles are either job descriptions or just the name of the character Sandler plays. Are they worried about confusing Adam Sandler fans? We went through the funnyman's filmography to see what titles got passed over so they could go the simple route.

This week, a romance starring Edward Cullen and Claire Littleton goes up against a rom-com starring the Sorceror's Apprentice and the large-breasted nanny from Sex and the City 2. Who will win? Literally everyone involved.

Toy Story 3 Sets Box Office Records; Jonah Hex, Record Lows

Talk about your landslides. Moviegoers voted with their wallets this weekend, and they unanimously voted for Toy Story 3, which brought in $109 million. Not only is that the biggest opening for a Pixar film yet (money-wise, anyway; the 3-D prices help), it also had the biggest June weekend opening ever, beating Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. And without even a single robot testicle! Unfortunately, it fell just short of having the biggest opening of any animated feature, since Shrek the Third made $122 million in its 2007 opening, but it can rest confident knowing that it's a much, much better movie.
