Shutter Island
Martin Scorsese should set all of his films in and around Boston from now on. After becoming famous for his New York-based characters, in films like Goodfellas and Raging Bull, the man has directed two films, The Departed and now Shutter Island, that feature some fantastic Bahston accents. Let's just take a moment and imagine some Scorsese films with wicked awesome pronunciation. What a pissah!

From Paris With Love
I so wanted to hate this movie, with Jonathan Rhys Meyers' smug face, and John Travolta's really-close-to-his-mouth goatee (seriously, there needs to be a neutral zone), but it ended up being a fun romp, with some bad-ass stunts, great action and actually a few touching moments. Travolta's performance is over-the-top, but it works here, just like it did in Face/Off. (The Punisher not so much.)

The Cry of the Owl
The second adaptation of the Patricia Highsmith novel of the same name (the first one was in French), Cry is a great mystery thriller, although the absurdity of the sticky situations the protagonist finds himself in occasionally verge on the hilarious. Paddy Considine plays a man who's divorcing his wife while spying on a woman (Julia Stiles), but the woman soon finds out he's watching her and tries to initiate a relationship. Things get weirder from there, and it really keeps you wondering what will happen next. (Hint: There will be blood.)

The Charlie Chan Collection
Four unreleased films starring the famous Chinese-American detective... as played by Sidney Toler, a Scottish-ancestry actor from Missouri who was neither the first nor the last Caucasian to play Chan. Isn't it about time we cast a Chinese actor in the role, took the stigma off of it and re-booted this franchise? Somebody get Chow Yun Fat on the phone and feel him out for this puppy.

Bob Hope: Thanks for the Memories Collection Six films, including The Road to Morocco, The Ghost Breakers and The Paleface fill out this small selection of Hope's vast filmography. Notably, The Ghost Breakers is the closest you get to seeing Bob hope fight a zombie.

The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It
Yes, this is a real movie. Technically. I guess it depends on how you define "real." It exists? Here's an exclusive clip as evidence:

ON DEMAND: Doghouse
Zombie lovers, take note, this British film about six blokes going away for the weekend and getting attacked by hordes of female zombies is available on IFC's on-demand service tomorrow, June 9. It's like if Shaun of the Dead was a sausagefest, and starred Mickey from Doctor Who and the guy who played Stan Shunpike.
