BLOGS
All of the best films center around some sort of conflict, but it seems like most of this week's releases center around gratuitous conflict. It's like at some point in the creative process, someone stood up and shouted really loudly, "Let's get these people to fight!" ...Not that we're necessarily complaining, of course. We shout that all the time, usually in inappropriate situations.
Clash of the Titans (DVD/Blu-ray Combo)
The tag line for this movie was: "Titans will clash." When the best tag line you can think of merely rearranges the words of your title, you either have a really good title or a really bad tag line. (Also available via Movies on Demand.)
Repo Men
I would have been a lot more excited about this movie if I hadn't already seen another movie about organ repossession. Granted, this one had bigger stars in it, but, to be fair, those stars were slumming it. (Also available via Movies on Demand.)
Operation: Endgame
How does a movie that has Zach Galifianakis, Rob Corddry, Emilie de Ravin, Ellen Barkin, Ving Rhames and Maggie Q all trying to kill each other go straight to DVD? In this day and age? One would think that it could have experienced a Hangover-meets-Hot Tub Time Machine level of success in a theatrical release. ...Of course, we haven't seen it yet, so it could be a piece of garbage.
Kites
This Bollywood musical about a Las Vegas dance instructor and a Mexican trophy wife on the run is not to be confused with The Kite Runner, which features fewer dance sequences and more sexual abuse of children.
Batman: Under the Red Hood
The origins of the Red Hood as a Batman villain are so convoluted that it seems unusual that DC would choose to make a standalone animated movie out of it. We'd explain it to you, but we really don't have that kind of time.
Also out this week:
Ip Man This biopic on the man who trained Bruce Lee has already spawned a sequel in Hong Kong.
The Art of the Steal Do not attempt to relocate art, or they will make a documentary about you.
Neighbor From the people who brought you Step-father, Orphan and other innocuously named horror films.
Hannie Caulder This Western revenge film gets kudos for inspiring Kill Bill and employing Christopher Lee.
Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated Not just a clever title, but an animated tribute to the zombie classic.

I saw "Clash of the Titans" this weekend, and was running around the house looking for mind bleach, 'cause that's two hours of my life I never want to remember again. The amount of things wrong with this film would put the Encyclopaedia Galactica to shame.
We need more insgiths like this in this thread.
