True Grit
Even if you don't like Westerns, it would be hard for you to not like this one. Jeff Bridges is the drunkard in need of some kind of heroic achievement to bring about his salvation. Matt Damon is a Texan named "The Beef." Not to mention just how much Laura Ingalls Wilder has nothing on Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld). Also, the whole thing is by the Coen brothers, whom you can trust so long as Tom Hanks isn't around. (Also available via Movies on Demand.)
