Apple Store. Marshall's phone rings and he picks up. It's Irina on the other end and she tells him where Jack and Sydney are and that they need extraction. "Okay..." says Marshall. "Is this...who I think it is?" "Tell the team...they'll need diapers," quips Irina. Heh. Marshall runs off.
Later, on the extraction plane, Syd cuddles her daughter while Jack talks to Dixon. He gets off the phone and tells Syd that so far they have no leads on Irina. "Would you like to hold your granddaughter?" she asks him. Aw. He would. He takes the baby and sits across from his daughter. Awwww. Syd says that she has Vaughn's eyes, and Jack says she does. Syd looks down for a moment and then looks up and says, "Dad..." And then she kind of nods at him. Jack seems to understand. "I'll take care of it," he says. Well, that decides it. I thought if the captioning declared that Jack said "her" instead of "it" that he was talking about taking care of his grandchild in case anything happened to Sydney, but now I think what a lot of the posters think: Jack and Sydney know that Vaughn's alive and Sydney just told Jack to somehow let Vaughn know that he has a daughter. Why do I think that? Because we go from this cryptic "Dad..." scene to the next one which...yeah.
A man on a horse rides along a hilltop in Bhutan. He stops at a small house and enters. Inside is a monk wrapped in saffron robes. The horseman delivers a message to the monk who in turn walks deeper into the house and says, "My brother. There's good news. You have a daughter." And then Vaughn grimaces and looks up with a hint of a smile on his face. You heard me. VAUGHN. Good god. Is it possible for him to look gorgeous even when he's recovering from a gazillion bullet wounds? Apparently, it is.
