And then, even though we expect commercials, there is this. We get a shot of the girls in some holding pen waiting as the judges deliberate, and Amanda tells Melrose that she pissed her off when she told the judges that she stayed up for an extra two hours. She asks how Melrose knew how long they were all up. Melrose looks shocked. Eugena says that Melrose goes out of her way to make everybody else look bad, and that she's very fake. Melrose says that she isn't, but Eugena says that she is. Indeed, she is. I mean, you can't really deny that point. Melrose protests that all she said was that she stayed up for two extra hours, and Eugena says that Melrose knows why she said that. Melrose tells Eugena to shut up, and Eugena says that everybody's tired of it. Melrose says that she's tired of everybody else, too, so it's cool. Caridee, Michelle, and Jaeda just stay out of it. It's too bad, because I feel like the five other girls could really do some damage to Melrose if they aligned. Commercials.
When we return, we go back to the judges. Pity, that. Twiggy thought that Eugena was a pleasant surprise, and that she came alive. Miss J. agrees that she had a great performance, and Denis says that Eugena has more potential than she showed on camera. Tyra likes that Eugena is showing vulnerability instead of the hard exterior of yore. Miss J. says that Melrose's extra hours of studying really helped, and Tyra says that it might have been one of the best commercial performances in Top Model history. Nigel says that she's a great actress, but still looked a little old. Miss J. says "thank goodness" Jaeda prepared the judges for how horrible she was. Nigel says that she can't act, but asks if she can model. He notes that with bone structure like hers, if you get the right photographers, it's going to work. Twiggy thought Michelle was pretty awful, and didn't even think that she looked very good. Nigel says that Amanda is shining more. But Tyra disagrees with all of them, and says that she thought Michelle looked fabulous, even though her performance was bad. Amanda has potential visually, according to Denis, and could do much better with rehearsals and time. Twiggy says animatedly that she's got to learn to kiss. Caridee's commercial performance was ludicrous, and maybe the worst in Top Model history, according to Nigel. Twiggy says that she completely went to pieces, and that it was shocking. Tyra says that she thought Caridee would be one of those girls who does consistently well, and that this incident scared her. She asks the others whether they think that, because Caridee won the challenge this week, she was resting on her laurels. Nigel says that this is when it gets serious, and if that if Caridee's was a serious performance, the curtains are down. Dunh dunhhhhhhh!
