Chris isn't feeling great, and is experiencing some extra pressure. When he gets on set, he complains about feeling restrained in his wardrobe. Johnny reminds him that when you're a model, sometimes you have to wear shit that's not comfortable and figure out how to make it work. This all happens before they even shoot a frame, and Johnny tells us that coming onto set with a huge basket of negative energy is not a good idea. Speaking of huge baskets, Chris hates his prop, too. He interviews that he's tired of the stress of being in the bottom two and the feelings he's forced to have in the competition. Sorry that you have to experience the full range of being human, dude. Johnny tries to direct Chris into being good, but he starts getting in weird poses like trying to balance on one foot and says he's confused. Jez and Johnny tell Chris that he can indeed move around, and even though he's looking good in the photos Johnny isn't connecting with him or feeling good energy. Chris says that his nerves are running high and Johnny tells him to channel that energy into getting a good shot. When he goes backstage, Chris is frustrated and Nina tells him to stay positive and not psych himself out. WHY does she try? She actually starts wondering the same thing, finally.
Speaking of Nina, she's wearing a crazy dress and when she goes on set she has trouble finding her light. Cory tells us that Nina is taking all of Chris's negativity and babying him throughout the competition, instead of focusing her energy on herself. Jez tells us that Nina has a very strong editorial look and strong features, but there's a disconnect between what's happening in Nina's face and her body. The whole thing winds up looking awkward, and does not bode well for Nina's chances. Jeremy is next to shoot and Tyra enthusiastically co-signs on his proposed pose involving a pulling of his cowl neck. Chris tells us that Jeremy is too big and bulky for high fashion and also has duck lips. That last part at least is kind of true.
With the shoot over, Tyra tells the models that they won't be going home tonight. Instead, they'll be going to Ubud, which Tyra calls the "artistic jungle wonderful spiritual colony of Bali." It's beautiful and lush, and Tyra points out that Bali is choosing them. I mean, technically Tyra chose them and thrust them upon Bali, but no matter. Tyra adds that there's no challenge this week, so scoring is all about the photo.
Once in Ubud, Chris, Cory, Nina and Renee get to see a shaman healer. Nina is all for it, saying that she needs some healing right now. The other half of the crew gets to go see monkeys, one of whom has a Mohawk. Marvin tells us that he gets freaked out by animals since he's a city kid and you don't see so many monkeys in the Bronx. Back at the healing epicenter, Chris tells us that the shaman or shalam or whatever you call him looks like an anime character who does spells on people. So he's not only open and engaging with his peers but with people of different cultures as well.
