The girls then congregate to have a little posing competition of their own. Michelle tells Brittany, Tatiana, and Michelle to pose like rock stars. Brittany's interpretation entails sticking her thumb in the waist of her already super low-rise jeans and pulling down with all her might. Michelle is all, "YEAH!" The other girls squeal and chat. Michelle -- apparently at some point in the future since her roots are so dark -- interviews that the competition is getting more fierce, and that it's bringing her confidence down. That and the fact that she is kind of ugly, and also of ambiguous gender. She says that she's trying to interact with the other girls, but that sometimes it's hard. And something tells me this isn't the first time she's said "Sometimes it's hard" by means of explaining how she interacts with other girls. Then, more Tyra Mail, which says, "Which aisle will have today's special? Be ready at 6:45 AM." I miss the rhyming Tyra Mails. The girls all agree that 6:45 is really early.
The next morning, Michelle interviews that the girls can never figure out the Tyra Mail. Their van pulls up to a K-Mart. And this show is really working the high-fashion angle, what with sponsors like THE BIG K. Tiffany notes that K-Mart is one of her favorite shopping spots. Okay, I officially kind of love her. The girls are bewildered. I mean, more bewildered than usual. Commercials. And the first commercial is for...K-Mart! Who would have thunk it?
When we return, Rebecca notes that the last place she thought they'd go was K-Mart, but that it's cool with her because she's been to K-Mart a million times. This interview sponsored by K-Mart. As they enter, Miss J. is on the loudspeaker saying, "Attention all shoppers, attention all shoppers. Duel runway challenge in aisles one and two." He totally sounds like a Blue Light Special announcer! Now that's versatile. He tells the girls that a top model can take an everyday item and make it fabulous, and what better place to find everyday items than K-Mart? Naima -- whose Mohawk has grown to gigantic proportions -- interviews that K-Mart is the perfect place to find accessories with which to walk. Yes, we get it, K-Mart sells lots of crap. J. introduces Sandi Bass, former model and current talent scout, who is there to help with the competition. Hideous Christina the Head Louse is wearing a shirt that reads, "Today was a total waste of hair products." Hair products like Rid. Miss J. explains that the girls will be dueling with each other on the makeshift K-Mart aisle runway, and that one winner with the best walk will be named. The girls change into spiffy K-Mart clothes.
