After the ads, Connor looks down at the dead girl, who still has Darla's face. Brrrr. The awful daring of a moment's surrender which an age of prudence can never retract. And stuff. Cordy is back within the circle of candles, lying on the floor. She moans in pain and says that they have to do this "while it's fresh." Connor looks down at the blood on the floor. Darla's image has faded away. The nymphs are departed. He squats and presses his hand into the blood as Cordy starts chanting again. Cordy tells him, "Do it now," and Connor places his bloody hand on her belly. He moves away, and the blood fades instantly as Cordy wails in pain. And, naturally, that's when the earthquake hits.
