Cordy races into the lobby, but the demon jumps down from the second floor and lands in front of her. And then Connor lands on top of the demon and throws him across the room. Connor tells Cordy, "You're not safe here." Cordy sniffs, "Ya think?" The demon starts to get up, and Connor tosses a stake into its side. The demon falls down with a perforated liver. Or whatever it has in the place of a liver. Cordy asks Connor to get her out of there. Connor looks surprised, but holds out his hand to Cordy. She takes it, and off they scamper.

After the ads, Angel, Gunn, and Fred stare down at the dead demon while Angel gently lectures them for allowing Cordy to run away. Then he gradually freaks himself out and backs away babbling, "What if there were hundreds of those things? What if this is the way it starts?" Angel starts locking the doors, and the rest of his monologue was clearly looped, and while I'm sure that's hard to do, it really shows in Boreanaz's reading. He stiffly says, "I mean, the slouching, and the Bethlehem? And they've taken her because of what she knows, even if she can't remember [that] she knows it?" Fred wonders if Angel's been caffeinating his blood again. How would he go about doing that, given her implication that he's done it before? Hm. Cary enters and explains that the demon was a client of his. Gunn asks what Cary saw when Cordy sang, and Cary says, "I haven't read the Book of Revelations [sic] lately, but if I were searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there." Cary goes on portending doom while Angel starts grabbing weapons. Angel gets to make yet another speech about how they absolutely, positively have to find Cordelia. And he really means it this time!

Cordy and Connor are looking at a stuffed bear. That is, a real bear, which has been stuffed. The bear appears to be sitting in an abandoned...well, your guess is as good as mine. Museum? That seems likely. I'm going to say it's a museum. They walk past more displays of taxidermy as Cordy asks if Connor lives at the Hyperion. He says no, and semi-explains, "I saw you were back." Cordy asks if they were friends. He says she was nice to him once. She asks if Connor is friends with the rest of the MoG, and he avoids answering, so she settles for his name. Upon hearing that he's Connor, she marvels at the coincidence that he has the same name as Angel's baby. Luckily, that only goes on for a few seconds before she figures it out.
